Christmas present

I went to a Christmas party and we did a sock exchange. I found the cutest black socks with tiger fur on the top of them. I made this box out of one 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. The lid was another 1/4 sheet.

Sympathy

A wonderful friend of mine lost her father this month. I sat for almost 2 hours trying to come up with a "perfect" card for the situation. I think this turned out great.

It's Hannah Montana time!!!!

My (now) 9 year old daughter, Hanna, has never had a real birthday party before. She has major lung issues and every November, she is sick with pneumonia. We expect it every year, as well as last year, so we didn't have a party...only to realize the new meds she takes are working and she didn't get sick. YAY, thank God! So, this year, we assumed there would be no sickies and planned a party for her. Again, no sickies! YAY!!! As every 9 year old girl in America, she LOVES Hannah Montana. So, that would be here theme.

I found clear Hannah Montana stamps at Wal-Mart on clearance for $5. I knew I would be able to use the heck out of these. What a find!!! I made her some super simple party invites.

My wonderful friend, Pam, is a co-owner of Party Starters. She designed this beautiful Party Favor Cake for Hanna's first birthday party. Hanna was soooo excited when she saw this, it wasn't even funny. I knew she would be. And of course, I was ready to cry over her excitement. She loved it so much, she asked her friends to give her the boxes back after they got their treats from it, so she could put the cake back together and keep it in her room as a decoration.

Pam, YOU ROCK and you are the best!!! You truly made her birthday!! I think she was way more excited over that than she was her presents.

Two very simple Christmas cards. I am determined to get my Christmas cards out this year. In order to do so, I realized I needed to make them simple.

This is a very simple birthday card I made for my sister. Purple is NOT my thing, but it is my sister's favorite color. Lately, I have been into very simple, plain cards. Maybe because of the lack of stamping time I have had lately. Hopefully I will change that very soon!

US Citizen

Friday the 13th is usually a scary day, but not this year. My great friend Ayman was sworn in as a U.S. Citizen. I couldn't wait to make this card for him. He has been waiting for this day for so long. Congratulations Ayman!!!

For my friend

My wonderful friend Debi is an inspiration to many. She was diagnosed with cancer about 2 years ago right after the birth of her 2nd son. Debi has 2 small boys and a wonderful husband. She doesn't stop living for her family. She is truly amazing! She recently had a scan that showed her tumors have shrunk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made this card for Debi just to let her know how happy I am to have her in my life and how excited I am about her wonderful news. I love ya Debi!!!

PARTY STARTERS!!!

You haven't heard of Party Starters? Oh, why, surely you must have. If not, get over there NOW!!!!

Pam is one of the owners of Party Starters and she made a BEAUTIFUL Pink Glittery Guitar cake for my daughter Hanna's 9th birthday party! I will stuff each slice of cake with some goodies for her girlfriends (if I can part with this haaa haaa) and they will each take home a slice of this beauty.

Pam, I just love you to death! You have done such a fantastic job and Hanna is going to be so very thrilled to receive this cake. I am keeping this as a surprise to her Hannah Montana Party and won't bring it out until the last minute. Hanna will die. She is such a girly girl. The colors, the feathers, the bling...Hanna is going to be in heaven. Thanks a million Pam!!!

Time for the Pumpkin Patch

I wanted to do something a little different for Joey's kindergarten class for treats. So, I made a pumpkin patch. Each child can come up and pick out his/her own pumpkin. I just used green floral foam, covered it in CS and then punched out pumpkin stamps and taped them onto the suckers. Simple and cute.

October monthly swap

I never remember to post my card swaps for some reason. Here I remembered to take a picture. This was for a Birthday theme swap.

Happy birthday (Tween)

My daughter has a new BFF in middle school this year. It turns out she is actually a relative of ours that we have never met. Living on the West side of Cincinnati...you always run into someone you "know" somewhere. LOL!

Here is the card I made for my daughter to give her for her birthday. I didn't realize how off center I was when taking these two pictures (this one and the one below it). I will be sure to do a better job next time.

Baby Shower

A friend of mine asked me to make simple pink and brown bumble bee baby shower invites for a shower she is throwing. I found this way too cute bumble bee die cut that I can use in my Big Shot.

Back to School

It's that time of year again! Can you hear the Moms and Dads around the US cheering? You better believe tomorrow I will be on top of the world. 3 of our 4 kids will be heading off to school. Hailee into the 6th grade at her new middle school, Hanna is headed to the 3rd grade and Joey is entering Kindergarten. Where has the time gone?

This is a 12x12 scrapbook page I designed for a workshop I held tonight. I am not really a scrapper, I am a very simple person and it shows in my pages as well.

All of the apples are done using a Stampin Up! punch. Simple, but cute.

Happy Birthday!

I made this card in June for my friend's birthday. She JUST NOW got it yesterday. Ugh! No, not because mail delivery is slow...but because I am slow! Every time we would get together, I forgot her card. Anyway, I finally gave it to her yesterday, so now I can post it.

I got these wonderful, adorable butterflies from my GOOD friend Tonya. If you haven't checked out her blog, run over and do it now! She is fabulous! And, she likes to keep quiet about her work, so, I am going to toot a horn for her! A new scrapbook store opened up in her area and she is teaching classes there and her designs are hanging in the store!!! How very exciting!!! The people in her area are very fortunate!!!!!!!!! I'm proud of ya girl!!!

It's all right to use all white!

Yeah, I know, I'm corny. LOL!

I saw one of the Pretties blogs, Can You Say Addicted To Stamps, and I fell in LOVE with the white on white. It seems kind of taboo, but I had to use this idea along with my GOOD friend Tonya's butterfly idea to come up with this cute little card.

I don't have the awesome butterfly punch, but I found these little stickers at the Dollar Tree.

Branch Out...why dontcha?

Since it's 60 today...when it was 92 yesterday, I made a fall card. LOL! YES, I realize, we are only in June, but hey, you get your inspiration where ever it comes from. Right?

I don't know if you can see the top note die "shadow" behind the white top note, but all I did was cut one out in creamy caramel and cut it in 1/2 and only used the top and bottom pieces of the brown to make it look like I fit the white inside of it. Make sense???

I also ran the More Mustard thru the crimper for some dimension. I also added a piece of velvet ribbon.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Branch Out
Paper: Ruby Red, More Mustard, Creamy Caramel, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Brown
Markers: Garden Green, More Mustard, Ruby Red, Real Red
Misc: Hodgepodge hardware, Velvet Ribbon, Crimper

Teacher gifts!!!

It's that time of year again! Time for teacher gifts!! The end of the year. Our oldest child will be graduating from her elementary school and entering Middle school. Where has time gone? Our 2nd daughter will be heading into 3rd grad, our third son will graduate from Pre-K and thankfully we still have one baby at home. What a year this has been!

I decided to make stationery sets this year for the teachers. These look complicated, but are super easy to make. I found the directions on Jackie's blog. Please, check her out! She has fantastic work on her blog!!!

All supplies used are Stampin' Up. There isn't a lot of paper used for this either. Not as much as you might think anyway.

I made 4 cards, 4 3x3 cards, 4 tags, a post it note holder, a stamp holder and a pen with a pen holder.

Today my daughter went to her friends birthday party. She loves Monkeys. I whipped up this card quickly.

Supplies:
Stamps: Archiver's $1.99 hot spot stamp
Paper: SU Kraft, SU Chocolate Chip, SU Whisper White

Markers: SU Creamy Caramel, Copic
Misc. SU Pretty in Pink Ribbon

I made this card super quick for a dear friend who found out today she has breast cancer. She is so young, she is a Mommy, and a wonderful woman. This SHOULD NOT be happening.

Anyway, here is I card I came up with. I'm not sure if I like the bling stuff I added. Is it too childish? Need honest feedback here.

Supplies Used (all Stampin' Up! products):
Ink: Whisper White, Pretty In Pink, Pixie Pink, Versamark
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty In Pink, Designer Pretty in Pink
Misc: Whisper White Ribbon, Bling, Embossing Powder in Clear
