Special Delivery

Have you ever sat down to make the perfect card, had it all laid out in your head, and could actually see how adorable it would be when it's finished? Yeah, well, that's what I had seen...but then as I was making the card, it wasn't happening. AT ALL. No mater how I made the card, I couldn't get it to look like I had it set out in my head. So, after messing with it for a day, this is what I came up with.

I am happy with this card, it's just not the image, or style that I had thought of. That card will come later, because what was in my head was clearly not meant for a new baby card.

Congrats to my friends, Tony and Amy on the birth of their daughter, Teresa. She has 2 older brothers to spoil her rotten. She was born yesterday, at 32 weeks and is spending some time in the NICU. I heard she is in the same exact spot our son was in when he was born one day shy of 33 weeks. I wish for no parent to see their child in the NICU, but one good thing about Cincinnati is our amazing hospitals. Baby Teresa is certainly in good hands. Keep them in your prayers, we want Teresa to come home to meet her big brothers and very big family.

Welcome baby boy!!!

This is the 3rd card for my April Challenge. John's cousin just had her adorable baby boy. So, of course, I had to bust out my favorite baby stamp. Hello Baby, from TAC. I honestly do have other baby stamps, I just LOVE this little giraffe though. How can you not? It's hard to tell in this picture, but I put Fun Flock on his diaper to make it fuzzy and I also put some Crystal Effects on the blankie to make it look silky.

How Swell!

Card #2 for April's "30 minute create" challenge. A friend of mine recently announced they are expecting their third baby in October. This is the cute little card I've made for her. The image is from TAC called "How Swell".

After I colored the image in using my Stampin' Up! inks and aqua pen, I went over the image with Crystal Effects for some POP.

My April Challenge

My challenge to myself this April is to spend at least 30 minutes, if not more, in my craft room...at my table, not at the computer. I always intend to stamp, then get sucked into the computer, pulled away by one of the kids and then just never make it back to the table. So, starting this month, I'm going to make it a priority again. Me first, kind of thing. After all, if Mama ain't happy, ain't no one happy.

This is the first card for April 1, 2011. Enjoy.

Invitation set

So, after looking at the invitations I made (in a previous entry), I decided to keep playing and make more changes. I am so happy with the way these came out. I made the entire set and presented it in a little gift box. Simply adorable! I can honestly say this is the first project (of many) that I am completely happy with. I hope the Mom-to-be and the family and friends of her are as well.

Baby Shower Invites

I was honored to be asked to make baby shower invitation from my friend. I had free reign over these. Soft neutral colors and incorporate an animal were the only requests given to me. I used Bazzill Bling papers for these and the giraffe is from TAC. As soon as I knew the minute she said to incorporate an animal on these that I would go to my favorite baby stamp.

2 weekly challenges in one

This is a card I made for the Inkstainers weekly challenge. I was a week behind, so I decided to make one card using both challenges. First challenge was to make a monochrome card. I chose all shades of brown. The second challenge was to make a Valentine's Day card with no red.

Super Hero birthday card

This is a card I made for my son's friend. I used Billy from Pink Cat Stuido.
