Sad news

In April of 2004, a local soldier, Matt Maupin went missing in Iraq. He was in the Army. The rest of his troop was found, he was POW/MIA. No one in Cincinnati has ever given up the hope that Matt would return to his family safe and sound.

Today, we learned on the news that his body has been recovered. I can't imagine what his family is going through. His parents had such high hopes for a safe return for their son.

Hummm, I'm thinking I should start a new blog with photo's of my little Nic Nak and the other 3 trouble makers on it so I can save this one for my crafts. Seriously, one day soon, I will be adding cards to this site...I swear by it! LOL!

Well, here is a new picture from today. The kids and I were coloring Easter Eggs and Nic was wide awake. I had to start snapping pictures! How could you resist with a face this cute?

He's coming home!

Dominic is coming home TODAY! Can you believe it? 15 days later, he is coming home!!! I got a call today from the NICU and the nurses were asking all about my surgery yesterday. I told them I was feeling fine, back to normal, blah, blah, blah. Then they asked if I'd be interested in picking up my son!!! Are ya kidding me? OF COURSE!!! I can not wait! As soon as John gets home from work, we are going straight up to get him! WOOO HOOO!
