Inkstainers Challenge

Cheryl challenged us to make a card for a size 10 envie and the base had to be white. Here is what I have. Stamp is Lilly from Pink Cat Studio. I am absolutely addicted to The Pink Cat Studio stamps. I need to use them more. They are simply adorable!

2-4-6-8 Box/ 3D Design Challenge

This is my creation for the FIRST ever 3D design challenge.

If you haven't already, get over there and check it out! They even give you printable templates you can print and keep in your files!

Gift Set

Here is a little coaster set I made for my Sister. She has been a WAHM (work at home Mom) for the past 9 years, but decided that she wanted to work in the office now that both kids are in school full time. The box is a pencil cup, then a post it note holder and a pen. I also made a jumbo matching paper clip, but didn't get to get it in the photo. I forgot. I am loving these coasters.

Have a coke and a smile and STFU!!!

ROFLMAO! That line just popped into my head as I was posting this.

Here is a gift holder I made out of an empty pop can. Yes, we call it POP here in Cincinnati. LOL!

Anyway, this was NOT my idea. I got it off of the Close To My Heart business board. Yvette is a CTMH demo who, obviously finds inspiration in everything she comes across! I found her blog here.

Anyway, I decided to make this finally and I made a little tutorial to go along with it. Hope it makes sense.

Wash out your can and cut the top portion off using a bread knife. (Hey...in this house, there is no other use for a bread knife! If my bread isn't already sliced, I'm not eating it)

Cut tabs all around your can. I made mine around 1/2 an inch wide. I cut down approx. 1 inch.

Fold the jagged edges of your tabs and pinch tightly so they do not come undone.

Using a pencil, roll the edges of your tabs that you just cut making curls. Do this for each piece. NOTE: You may need to kind of "pinch" them into place after you curl them.

This is how your can should look when all of the curling is complete.

Depending on the width of your can, cut a piece of CS to go around the can. Be sure to adhere the first piece to the metal of the can. Also remember to push the paper up under your curls so no can is showing. Then, glue the other end to your PP tightly for a snug fit.

Last step

Get your hole punch, 2 brads and a strip of paper (I used 3/4 of an inch) and make 2 holes through your can. You will have to fanagle the curls...even unfolding one if necessary to get your punch down far enough.

Put your paper behind the hole you just created. The PP is thin enough you can just punch your brad through the paper.

Waaaa Laaaa! You just completed your can holder!

CTMH ATC Swap

Here are 2 cards I made for the Close To My Heart swap that I entered. I had to make 10 ATC cards that were all CTMH products only and 10 that could be anything at all, just try to use ONE CTMH product.

The Horse ATC I used: Horseshoes Stamp Set, CTMH Brad, and the paper from the Sarsaparilla paper pack.

The butterfly, I used all SU, stamp set is Priceless, pp is retired (a long time ago) and the ONE CTMH item? The pink ink. LOL!

Birthday lunch with Blogging buddies!

So, yesterday, it was my birthday and it was also the day that Tonya came in from South Carolina...so, we got a hold of Melissa and decided to have lunch! What a fantastic lunch meeting it was!!! I have met Tonya only one time and that was for like 3 minutes in a parking lot. I have met Melissa in person a few times, but again, it was in a parking lot picking up some of the gorgeous jewelry she has made for me.

This time, we spent 2 hours (which FLEW by) laughing and chatting. We had lunch at Don Pablo's...my favorite place for Mexican food! It was one of those meetings where you walk away feeling soooo good about everything in life. I don't think I stopped smiling all day long!

Here is a picture of the 3 of us at Don's and the goodies that Tonya made me for my birthday!!! What an awesome present! You surely didn't have to...being able to spend time with the 2 of you was a present enough!

Also, I attached a picture of the bracelet I gave to Tonya for helping me out over at Stamping and More! Melissa designed and made this wonderful piece!

Happy birthday to ME!

I received some beautiful gifts and cards for my birthday today! I'll have pictures to share of my lunch today with 2 of my blog buddies as soon as the forward me the pictures. I left my freaking camera in my van! DUH!

The purple card with the flower is from Sandie on Inkstainers. It's awesome and I'm going to be c.a.s.eing it! Thank you so much Sandie! You ROCK!

The girl card is from Elaine, another stamping friend. I met her a little over a year ago on SCS when I sold a stamp set to her. We've kept in contact since. Thank you Elaine. OHHH, and by the way, each piece of the girl is paper pieced! That's a lot of work on an image that size!
