Take me Drunk...

I'm home! I received this wonderful Stella image from Tonya. She made the most adorable Bunco tally cards with this stamp. Well, as soon as she sent these images to me, this card immediately popped into my head!

I used my new Copic markers to color the skin of Stella and I used the new Copic Spica (twinkles like glass) in Olive to color the olive and the Martini glass.

A Dog's Life

I made this card for someone going through a "Ruff" time. The inside is more fitting, but it's personal, so I won't go there. LOL!

I used A Dog's Life by CTMH, but all paper is STAMPIN UP! I just can't seem to get into the CTMH paper...except for the PP. It is wayyy too thin. I used SU's So Saffron, Ruby Red and Basic Black.

Sharon's Challenge

This is the card I made for Sharon's sketch challenge on Inkstainers. It's hard to see from the picture, but it says "May you always win the most important races in life". I felt this was a fitting saying for her challenge for us. You see, Sharon's 13 year old nephew is battling cancer for the 3rd time in his young life. Sharon gave us the sketch and asked that we used all pink on the card since it is the color for cancer. Please say an extra prayer at night for Chris.

Lori's challenge

Here is the card I made for Lori's challenge on Inkstainers. She challenged us to "make a background" instead of using a background stamp or cuttlebug.

This card uses the CTMH stamp of the month for June called With Love. I used all papers and inks from CTMH as well. I was being the good little Demo. for this card. LOL! NO SU stuff on it at all.

Billy

Here is Billy from Pink Cat Studio. I just freaking love her stamps and I can't stop thinking about all the cute things I can make with these for my kids.

Here is a card I just made. No reason, Billy was just sitting on his acetate sheet, yelling for me, so I had to pick him up and play with him!

Anniversary Rak

I received this beautiful card from Elaine, a wonderful person who I met about a year ago on-line. I was selling this stamp set that she used to make this card. She contacted me to purchase it and we have been talking since! She remembered from one of my e-mails that my Anniversary is Monday (TODAY) and she made this beautiful card for us with the sweetest note.

Elaine, you are a doll! Thank you so very much!!!

I've been tagged!!!

The rules of the game: Each player answers the questions themselves. At the end of the post the player then tags 4 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know that they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Ten years ago....
I was 23 and married already for 3 years. I was also pregnant with Hailee!

Five things on today's "to do list"

Things I would do if I was a millionaire
Build me a huge honkin house in the same school district that we currently live in. Pay off our debt and that of some very good friends and family members!!! Have another house in Denver so we could spend all football season there. (Hey, gotta let DH have a say in a little of the spending huh?)

A gift from Down Under

No, not the baby! The shirt the baby has on! LOL! Flea gave me this great t-shirt for Dominic when he was born. It's just adorable. I thought it would be a while before his fat little body would fit into it...but NOPE...it fits NOW! LOL!

Thank you Auntie Flea!!!

OK, he wasn't scared, he was laying on the recliner and I was sitting over him, so the pic isn't the best, but he wasn't so happy yesterday. I had to snap the pic in between cries. If he keeps up this moodiness, he's going to be Fed-Ex'd to his Auntie Flea! LOL!

Stamping and More

I have created a stamping forum, with a lot of help from 2 very generous gals! Come on over and check it out. NO...it is not nearly the magnatude of SCS, but maybe one day. LOL! It is brand new, so there isn't much going on...but come over and get it going! I do hope to have a full size gallery over there at some point. GQZMOMMY has done a lot of work over there as well, so be sure to say HI when you find her.

People can really SUCK!

Ahhh, my first bitch post on my blog. Let me just say, that some people can ruin an entire day/night and life for someone else. Someone they don't even know from Adam. Today, I hate people!

Diamond Rak's

If I've said it once, I've said it a million times...I LOVE MY INKSTAINER FRIENDS!!!

My bulldog, Diamond (aka: my princess) died a week ago. Today, in the mail, I get these 2 very awesome cards.

The one card is not really black and white. It's black and peach, but I guess the scanner couldn't pick it up. It is from Robin...look how she captured my Princess! She even crowned her! Diamond finally got her crown!

Thank you Robin!!!

The next card is from Marilyn. Marilyn ALWAYS makes such beautiful cards adn she is sooo generous sending them out! This cute puppy looks 3D when you hold the card in your hand. She did so good with the shading and coloring!

Thank you Marilyn!

Almost sketchy

Here is a card I just made quickly. I sort of followed my sketch below, but left off one element. It just didn't look right with this card...so I will try again. My sister-in-law just asked me if I had any sympathy cards...I do, but I decided to make another. Now she can decide if she likes it or wants one of the others I already have made.

Just look at this RAK!

Look at all the beautiful goodies I got from Pam! Go visit her. She lives right here. LOL!

Pam, you ROCK! Thank you so much for the PP, window cards, boxes, flowers, eyelets and THE MONKEY!!!! OMG, what a wonderful surprise!!!!! You are such a sweetie! And the card you made...TOO STINKIN CUTE!

It's my turn for the weekly challenge on Inkstainers. Here is the sketch I chose. I picked it from this site.
Feel free to play along and post a link to your blog showing your creation!

Here is a card I cased from SCS. I was browsing looking for ideas and I totally fell in love with everything about this card. The original artist did a much better job than I have done, but I am very pleased with it none the less.

This card will go out in the mail to a fellow Cincymom. Her DS is back on US soil and they could not be happier! We are all happy for them!!

Check me out!

Look at my new siggy!! It's all compliments of GQZMOMMY...since I'm completely computer illiterate, she did it for me! You ROCK GQZMOMMY!

A very, very sad day!

My beautiful princess, "Diamond", died today. She was around 6 years old. I loved my bully as much as I love my kids. She was so playful today. We were all playing with her. I went out to the store and to run some errands, I came home and our other dog was having a fit. I went to let both of them outside and we found her on her favorite chair...looking like she was just sleeping. I'm so sad. She was such a good girl.

More teacher gifts

Every year, and just about every holiday, I make some cards for our past teachers...who we still love. This year is no different. I made 4 sets of these cards for teachers at my girls school.

The cards are 3 x 3.

I also had to make envies for these since I didn't have any 3 x 3 envies...can you even buy them? (Watch, I'll look in my CTMH catty and I'll find em LOL).

The Penguin box in the background holds all 4 cards and 4 envies. I used the door hanger w/pouch from CTMH. It makes the PERFECT box for 3 x 3 cards.

Teacher gifts

This is a key chain that my girls will give their homeroom teachers. Our school colors are red and black. This beautiful key chain was made by the very lovely and talented MJennings. Seriously, if you want QUALITY, affordable jewelry, you have to visit her. Tell her "crafty" sent ya. LOL!

And, this is the card I made to go with these adorable key chains! Just a little "thank you note" to the teachers for making the 4th and 1st grade go so well for my girls. We are so lucky to live in the school district that we do...our teachers ROCK!

I've been RAK'D

Last year, I belonged to Paper Pretties and loved EVERY MINUTE OF IT! Things happened and I had to drop out of the group.

I received these 2 beautiful cards from Jessie. I had no idea how to contact her because I can't get into the site to e-mail her like I normally would have done. I was browsing blogs and came across hers!!! How lucky could I have been? And, if you haven't seen her blog...CHECK IT OUT!

Sorry for such a crappy scan. I would re-do it, but they are already hanging nicely on my RAK wall. :0( They are just beautiful!

Thanks so much Jessie!

No layers challenge

This is a card I did for Robin's challenge on Inkstainers. She said No layers, no emblies. So, I did it. This card started out just white...but I didn't want just white and black. So, I sponged Groovy Guava on the front. Decided it still needed more. I masked off a middle section and sponged heavily with Groovy Guava and then decided to outline with my black marker. Then, I stamped my butterfly from the retired CTMH set "BUGS". Added Thanks to the bottom and there you have it. No layers, no emblies. Just a plain jane single layer card...which I thought turned out quite nice. LOL!
